Caring for Orphans in Africa

One of the unique ministries of ZOE is sponsorship of youth camps for orphans. Many of these children know nothing but suffering and struggle. Often they bury their parents and then have no time to process their grief because they have to immediately turn their attention to survival.

The youth camps offer a respite from their difficult lives. At these youth camps 80 - 90 orphans are brought together from three or more sites. For a few days they have the chance to simply be kids. Through music, games, worship, and evangelism these children experience the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Not surprisingly, the volunteer missionaries find themselves just as blessed as the children.

As one young boy was recently trying to describe the fun he was having at the camp he stated, “This camp is the most ever!”
